Dad served with the 32nd Division, 126th Regiment, Company M in New Guinea and the Phillipines, was wounded Thanksgiving Day, 1944. He passed away 10/11/05 and will be sorely missed by his family. Dad spent his last 7 years partially paralyzed as the result of a stroke, and has wanted to go "home" to be with his wife of 50 years who passed away in 1998. He finally has his wish and may God grant him peace and light. I love you, Daddy. You're the best man I've ever known. I will remember you and miss your laughter for the rest of my life. He knew what hell on earth was. Even fifty years after he came home, he could barely talk about it. He was married to my mom, Melba Bynum for 56 years and raised four sons. Buried at Houston National Cemetery. He was my father and I loved him deeply. I display his flag proudly in my home. He loved the Lord, his wife, and his sons.
