"I was on the Happy Valley some time after May 23rd 1955 when I got out of Gunnery School at Bainbridge, MD. I was in the ships Armory. I spent time on aft part of flight deck when these shoots took place. And I do believe the man under the elbow of the shooter, on his right side is myself. The one with glasses and arms folded. ... Found a buddy, Oscar C. Starz, a year last December who was transeferd from Vally Forge to Midway with me."
